# MKM + DSK Rakdos Sacrifice

- Format: casual 60-card constructed, intended for two players.
- Colors: black and red.
- List: [mkm-dsk-rakdos.csv](mkm-dsk-rakdos.csv).
- Guide (Spanish): [guide_mkm-dsk-rakdos.html](guide_mkm-dsk-rakdos.html).
- Composition: 20 creatures, 16 other spells, 24 lands.
- Sources: only the recorded MKM and Duskmourn openings, plus basic lands.
- Status: proposal, not a record of cards removed from available inventory.

This replaces the earlier 40-card idea. Rakdos leaves the green and blue cards,
including the single Overlord of the Hauntwoods, available for
[Zimone Commander](../../commander/mkm-dsk-zimone/README.md).
The two proposed decks can be assembled together without sharing physical cards.
The opening, not the printed set code, determines eligibility: Syr Konrad is an
ELD printing recorded in the MKM opening. This is not a Standard legality claim.

## Game plan

1. Start with cheap creatures and establish Homicide Investigator or Reckless
Detective. Clockwork Percussionist, Fear of Lost Teeth and Innocuous Rat give
   value when sacrificed.
2. Use Sawblade Skinripper, Diversion Specialist, Disturbing Mirth and Final
Vengeance to convert expendable creatures into damage, cards or removal.
Reckless Detective can sacrifice a Clue instead of paying to crack it.
3. Finish with evasive attacks, Enduring Courage, a growing Chainsaw, or Syr
Konrad damage. Fear of Missing Out can provide an extra combat with delirium.

## Opening hands

Keep two or three lands with access to both colors, a cheap creature and useful
interaction. Four lands can be acceptable with early plays and a draw engine.
Avoid hands full of four- and five-mana cards or no black/red access.
Fetch the missing color with Escape Tunnel or Terramorphic Expanse.

## Important interactions

- Homicide Investigator triggers only once each turn and only for nontoken
creatures. Chainsaw gets one counter per death event, not per creature in a
  simultaneous death event.
- Sawblade Skinripper counts all permanents sacrificed that turn, including
Clues and fetch lands; it deals that much damage at the end step.
- A Room is one card with two doors. Cast one door, then pay to unlock the
other at sorcery speed; each unlocked door's ability works independently.
- Delirium needs four card types in your graveyard. Enchantment creatures and
artifact creatures help; exiling cards for Lamplight Phoenix can reduce it.
- Valgavoth's Faithful and Live or Die recover threats. Macabre Reconstruction
and Cadaver Lab return creatures to hand, not to the battlefield.

The limited number of duplicate engine cards makes this less consistent than a
tuned constructed deck. The plan is casual synergy, not tournament power.

## List conventions

The CSV uses the same 24 columns, in the same order, as
[Hare Raising](../../../precons/theme-decks/hare-raising/cards.csv).
Nonbasic card metadata comes from the recorded MKM and Duskmourn openings.
`Scryfall_ID`, `Set_Code` and `Collector_Number` identify the selected printing.
`Quantity_Regular` and `Quantity_Foil` reflect the selected copies, preferring
regular copies when available, and add up to `Quantity_Total`. `Value_USD` is
recalculated for those copies using the export's prices, not live prices.

Enough basic lands are assumed available. Their quantities are recorded under
`Quantity_Regular` as a planning convention, not a verified finish; printing,
condition, price and image fields remain blank because no particular printing
is required. There is no sideboard in this proposal.
